What’s Kick Boxing?
Kickboxing is a combat sport of Japanese-American origin that emerged and developed in the 1970s from the combination of different Western and Eastern fighting disciplines. It combines the punching techniques of English boxing with kicks derived from Eastern martial arts, creating a dynamic and well-rounded fighting style. Matches are mainly fought standing up, with athletes using their hands and feet to strike their opponents, combining speed, power, and precision. Practising kickboxing also requires coordination, endurance, balance, and concentration, helping to improve overall fitness and body control.
